Senior Practice Accountant
The role
We are looking for an ACA qualified (or equivalent) accountant with at least 3 years’ experience in an Accountancy practice.

Vacancy
Role: Senior Practice Accountant
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Holidays: 26 days + bank holidays (including birthday and Christmas closedown)
Salary: From £35k per annum depending on experience plus quarterly bonus scheme and comprehensive benefits package

Job Description
- Preparation / review of annual accounts for all sizes of businesses / charities
- Leading audit assignments including supervising junior auditors’ and semi-seniors’ work
- Preparation of management accounts at monthly / quarterly intervals for growing clients
- Preparation of complex VAT returns using the various different scheme available
- Preparation of Corporation tax and Income tax computations and returns
- Managing, training and providing support / feedback for junior staff
- Promotion of the firm’s services where possible including representing the firm at business networking / other events
- Actively developing and proactively contributing to a professional working environment
Job Specification
DESIRABLE
- A Level / Degree qualified (or equivalent)
ESSENTIAL
- ACA qualified (or equivalent)
- At least 3 years’ experience in an Accountancy practice
- 5 GCSEs @ Grades 4 – 9 (or equivalent) including Grade 6 or above in Maths and English
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Xero, Quickbooks,and Practice Accounting software (ideally Digita)
- The ability to work as part of a team and supervise junior staff and colleagues
- The ability to work with minimum supervision, using own initiative
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Enthusiasm and adaptability
Semi-Senior Practice Accountant
The role
We are looking for an AAT qualified accountant with at least 2, ideally 3, years experience in an Accountancy practice.
